What personal data we collect
We collect personal data when you register, when you play, when you move money in or out of your account and when you contact us. Some of it you give us directly, and some is recorded automatically as you use the site.
Account and contact details
- Your name, date of birth and residential address
- Your e-mail address and mobile number
- Your username, password and account security details
- Your currency, contact preferences and any limits you set in your account
Identity and age verification documents
We hold a gaming licence and must confirm that every player is at least 18 and is who they say they are. To do that we ask for documents such as photo identification, proof of your address, proof that you own the payment method you are using and, where our anti-money-laundering duties require it, information about your source of funds.
Transactions and play
- Deposits, withdrawals and the payment details shown in the cashier
- Bonus, promotion and wagering history
- Games you open, stakes, results and session lengths
- Balances, pending transactions and account adjustments
Device and usage data
- Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates
- Device type, operating system, browser and device identifiers
- Pages and features you use, and data collected through cookies
- Your messages to us, including live chat transcripts and e-mails
Why we use your data, and our legal basis for it
We only use your personal data where UK GDPR gives us a basis for doing so. The table below pairs each purpose with that basis in plain words.
| What we use your data for | Our legal basis under UK GDPR |
|---|---|
| Opening your account, crediting deposits, running your play and paying withdrawals | Performance of the contract you enter into when you accept our terms |
| Confirming your age and verifying your identity before you play or withdraw | Our legal obligations as a licensed operator |
| Preventing fraud, bonus abuse, collusion and money laundering | Our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in protecting players and the site |
| Applying deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and watching for signs of harm | Our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in keeping play safe |
| Answering your questions and looking into complaints | Performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running a proper support service |
| Sending offers, bonuses and news by e-mail or other channels you chose | Your consent, which you may withdraw whenever you wish |
| Keeping records, reporting where required and defending legal claims | Our legal obligations and our legitimate interests |
Where we rely on a legitimate interest, we weigh it against your privacy and only go ahead if your interests do not override ours. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time in your account settings, and that does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period the law and our licence conditions require. Those periods cannot be shortened on request.
- Account, verification and transaction records: kept for the retention period set by our anti-money-laundering and licensing duties after your account closes
- Marketing preferences: kept so that we can show when you opted in and when you opted out
- Safer gambling records, including limits, time-outs and self-exclusions: kept for the length of the measure and the period required afterwards
- Support messages and chat transcripts: kept for a limited period and then deleted
Once a retention period ends, we delete the data securely or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.
Your rights and how to use them
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Access - ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction - have inaccurate or incomplete details put right
- Erasure - ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep
- Restriction - ask us to pause how we use your data while a question about it is settled
- Objection - object to processing we base on a legitimate interest, and to marketing at any time
- Portability - receive the data you gave us in a portable format, or have it sent elsewhere
- Withdrawal of consent - turn off marketing without affecting the rest of your account
- Complaint - raise the matter with the Information Commissioner's Office
To use any of these rights, write to support@casinorichprize.co.uk or speak to our team on live chat. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we never hand your data to someone else, and we will answer within the time UK GDPR allows. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office; we would ask you to come to us first so that we have the chance to put things right.
Cookies, security and changes to this policy
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, protect your session and understand how the site is used. The categories we set, what each one does and how you can change your choices are explained in our Cookie Policy, where your settings can be updated at any time.
We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted internal access, activity logging and regular security testing. Please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
We update this policy when our services, systems or legal duties change. The current version always appears on this page, and we will tell you about significant changes by e-mail or by a notice in your account before they take effect.
